Cloud computing will no doubt tranform the very way traditional infrastructure and application services are being delivered. We hear a lot about the the benefits of cloud computing such as improved application development and deployment efficiencies, lower cost of entry, and faster time to provision. But how does cloud computing fit in real world enterprises? Can cloud computing address today’s enterprise concerns and requirements? What services or capabilities can real world enterprises expect to see in the Software-As-A-Service, Platform-As-A-Service and Infrastructure-As-A-Service layers? This session will assess current and future cloud capabilities relative to mainstream enterprise IT requirements and help real world enterprises better understand how best they can leverage cloud computing to achieve the same high service levels such as availability, security, and applications integration.
Speaker Bio:
Rani Selvarajoo Urbas currently manages product strategy for Oracle On Demand. Over the last 18 years, she has held a variety of roles at ERP leaders including Oracle, Siebel and PeopleSoft, among others. In addition to more than seven years in product management and global strategy, she has more than 10 years in field sales, including responsibilities in the United States, Europe and management roles in Asia Pacific.
